Dumber Documentation

Dumber is a keyboard-driven browser for tiling window managers, built with GTK4. It uses CEF by default, with WebKitGTK available as a fallback backend.

What is Dumber?

A browser designed for Wayland compositors that works like your favorite terminal multiplexer:

Requirements

• Linux with Wayland (Sway, Hyprland, River, Niri, etc.)
• GTK4, CEF for the default backend, and WebKitGTK for the fallback backend
• GStreamer (for WebKit media playback and diagnostics)
